Learn different yoga asana styles including ashtanga, vinyasa, restorative, yin, and hatha. Learn pranayama and the principals of yoga. Learn about the Anahata (Heart) Chakra and practices for liberation of mental suffering, manifestation of love. Learn to find internal peace through meditation. Learn to connect with others through massage and acro yoga. Learn to connect with nature by walking, living, and sleeping in nature. Learn to nourish your body with healthy vegan food. Learn to live with others in a community.

 

Location 

Hidden Valley in Bath County VA is a hidden gem. We do daily nature walks through a section of The George Washington and Jefferson National Forests in the Appalachians, as well as swimming in beautiful rivers and waterfalls. This is one of the most ancient forests and has a strong energy that allows us to reconnect with our true selves.

 

Retreat Content

This three day yogic lifestyle and wilderness therapy retreat is a very strong experience for the participants who have joined the journey. We combine yoga practices, meditation, vegan foods, walking through the wilderness, massage and creative workshops, and living together as a community in nature. We go through a mental, spiritual, and physical journey through this retreat. We overcome challenges along the way, finding power within ourselves to overcome difficulties and face the obstacles that are in our paths in our daily lives. Our focus for this retreat is the Anahata (Heart) Chakra. This chakra focuses on liberating ourselves from mental suffering and manifesting love. We have a daily focus, journaling, and sharing circles to guide us through this process.

 

This retreat is open to all levels of yoga practicioners, is affordable, technology free (fostering communication on a deeper, more personal level), requires a basic level of fitness and is drug, meat, and tobacco free. We sleep in nature, and learn basic wilderness survival.

 

 

Daily Rhythm:

6:00 Wake up

6:15-6:45 Morning Sunrise Meditation

6:45-7:00 Tea

7:00-8:30 Morning Yoga

8:30-9:30 Breakfast

9:30-12:30 Nature Walk

12:30- 1:00 Lunch

1:00-2:30 Self Reflection/Rest

2:30-4:30 Workshop (Massage/Acro Yoga/Expression)

5:00-6:30 Yoga

7:00-8:00 Dinner

8:00-9:00 Fire/Music/Dance Circle

9:00-10:00 Sharing Circle

Welcome and Memorial Dinner Friday, September 11, 7:00 pm.Camp over night to begin first full day of retreat Saturday, September 12.
